There has been limited learning opportunities among sector practitioners. This is evident in a number of repeatedly mistakes that stakeholders commit without taking enough time to reflect. Since 2007, ANSAF has been organizing and conducting annual learning and sharing platforms - which draw sector actors representing 'farmer', donors, parliament, government ministries, private sector and civil society organizations.
Pragmatically ANSAF promotes best practices through these Learning and Sharing platforms, with presentations from lead papers based on researches and experiences from practitioners based at community level where most of agricultural activities take place.

The Learning and Sharing Platforms under ANSAF have organically grown from a wider range of experience into specific themes that are discussed and deliberations documented for wider uptake. Although the first platform that was held in Tanga 2007 had various topics, the following year, ANSAF members decided to focus on DADP performance for year 2008 and 2009. The current year theme, is informed by key recommendations from preceding year and takes into consideration the experience and readiness among ANSAF members and other actors to share 'best practices' .
